The answer to an ugly notch? A less ugly punch-hole.

Honor View 20 is finally hitting the Philippine market, and fans are left a-ravin’. The notch-less flagship from Huawei’s sister company has finally been launched globally, complete with details regarding pricing, specs, availability, and more.

In this post, we’re breaking down all of that.

First, let’s talk about the notch. Or the absence of it here. Huawei has effectively solved the “Notch Problem” by opting for a less obtrusive camera hole punched at the top-left part of the thin-bezel screen.

Huawei says this is different from Samsung’s Infinity-O display because the punching technology is safer and more efficient. Rather than punching all the way through, Huawei drills only deep enough to make the screen less fragile than it would in, say, Samsung’s upcoming flagships. This, in effect, positions Huawei in a far better place until under-screen embedded cameras become a thing in the near future.

All the flagship goodies are here, including a top-of-line processor, an impressive CPU/NPU/GPU combo, and a beastly battery. Oh, and they managed to sneak in a headphone jack.
