ASUS Philippines has announced its follow-up to its Max Pro lineup, a beastly 5,000mAh battery-wielding mid-ranger packed with powerful specs and a very attractive price tag.
For context, ASUS’ Max lineup has lofty ambitions. Last year, they touted their own offering, the ASUS Zenfone Max Pro M1, as the “Battery King”. It was a great value phone, one we’ve enjoyed for at least a month (without much need for charging).
Now, ASUS is bringing its sequel to stores nationwide. And we’re pretty intrigued by how it will stack up against legitimately good phones in its price-point, including the Nokia 7 and Xiaomi’s Pocophone F1.
Here’s a rundown of its specs.
Everything about this follow-up is better. The battery remains an unmatched 5,000mAh. The main camera is a 12-megapixel f/1.8 shooter aided by a 5-megapixel depth sensor. For selfies, there’s a 13-megapixel sensor that should take selfies just fine.
As for stuff under the hood, there’s a 6GB/64GB variant powered with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor. The almost-stock version of Android Oreo out-of-the-box should look great in 6.3-inch FHD+ IPS display at 2280 x 1080px resolution.
