The concluding title of the Dark Seeker saga is here.

Being the twelfth installment and the closing chapter of the Dark Seeker saga, “Kingdom Hearts III” is a much-awaited follow-up to the series’ inarguable 2005 hit, “Kingdom Hearts II”.

With the game’s early 2019 release date fast approaching, Disney and Square Enix have dropped the new Final Battle trailer for “Kingdom Hearts III”.

It’s filled with all sorts of new adventures, including underwater challenges a la “Pirates of the Carribean” and a frosty detour to the town of Arendal in “Frozen”. Through all of it, you play along with Sora, Donald, and Goofy, as you fight your way against evils that threaten the existence of the Disney worlds.

Here’s the full synopsis and the new trailer.

Sora, Donald, and Goofy attempt to search for seven guardians of light and the “Key to Return Hearts”, while King Mickey and Riku search for previous Keyblade wielders, in an attempt to stop Master Xehanort’s plan to balance the light and darkness, which may ultimately lead to the final showdown between Sora and Master Xehanort.

There had been a fair bit of leaks of the game, revealing some of its storylines. But like its game director Tetsuya Nomura, we urge you not to seek those out if you’re looking to play this game with fresh eyes.

“Kingdom Hearts III” hits shelves January 29th, 2019. It will be available on PlayStation 4 and XBOX One.
