All this pop culture…for a puppy?
What if “John Wick” was an NES game? Brazilian indie game developer JoyMasher and Swedish sound designer Dominic Ninmark worked together to build what that would look like.
Like the movie, it looks awesome.
Set to a groovy synth-laden soundtrack, John Wick (played by Keanu Reeves in the movies), forays into a 2D platformer a la “Contra” where he faces off with goons and assassins. There’s a huge chopper gunfight towards the end, which he wins and gets him reunited with his beloved dog (with no name, *wink*).

“John Wick 3: Parabellum” is currently going strong in theaters, in fact dethroning the box office spree of Marvel’s “Avengers: Endgame” (currently on its third week). The film grossed an estimated $57 million in its opening weekend.
With its popularity, it’s not surprising that it inspires fan-work like this one. However, it’s worth noting that an actual *real* “John Wick” game is well underway, and it looks promising.
