All clues point to the imminent release of Alan Wake Remastered, a rework of the eponymous survival thriller game from Remedy.
As reported by eagle-eyed Redditors, Epic Data has spotted update files for a certain title called Alan Wake Remastered in the Epic Game Store. That obviously pertains to a visual remaster of the modern classic game, Alan Wake, the hit thriller game from Remedy prior to its current flagship title, Control.
As an aside, both games are quite similar in vibe, and Wake even makes an appearance in Control‘s second expansion. That clues us into a wider universe in which Remedy’s games all might exist in.

Anyway, back to the matter at hand. It has been reported that Remedy shook on a two-project deal with Epic. Fans presumed (right) that one of the games is Alan Wake 2, but a remaster, as we’re all now learning, is also in order as a “new, smaller-scale project set in the same franchise”.
I personally am a fan of Alan Wake, and have Control queued in my to-play list. There’s already an AW expansion for that game, so I might just have to pick it up sooner rather than later.
