Thin, light, and powerful like the new Macbook Air (2018).
Xiaomi Philippines has launched its robust but affordable ultrabook, the Mi Notebook Air 13″ with fingerprint support. The company took to Facebook and made the announcement.
Here are the full specs, plus details on pricing and availability.
- 13.3-inch Full HD IPS display
- Intel Core i5-8250U
- NVIDIA MX150 GPU
- 2GB GDDR5 RAM
- 256GB PCIe SSD drive
- Expandable storage via an additional SSD slot

Xiaomi has always delivered on bringing more affordable options to an area that’s otherwise overpriced. I’m a fan of their Notebook Air lineup. In fact, I’m rocking the even cheaper 12.5″ version, which is powered with a surprisingly able Core M3 processor.
Just for giggles, here’s a photo of me with the laptop.
Which brings me to one other great aspect of this ultrabook: the branding (or lack thereof). There’s no Mi branding at the back, and that alone earned it praises from my peers. What’s more, the design looks gorgeous, with its slightly curved physique and overall thin and light package.
As mentioned, Xiaomi Philippines has finally made the new version (which looks gorgeous in black) available in all its Xiaomi Stores in the Philippines and authorized reseller stores. The ultrabook goes out for PHP 49,995, more than half of what a Macbook Air costs.
Here’s a full list of the branches you can visit if you’re interested in getting it.

- Mi Flagship Store Megamall
- Mi Store SM North Annex
